The answer to this question is highly variable based on your condition. Severe health conditions require more acupuncture visits with greater frequency.

If a condition is severe we recommend coming in twice per week initially. On the other end of the spectrum, if you want to do acupuncture for health maintenance, a frequency of once per month is recommended.

It depends on the number of tests ordered initially. We typically order 1-4 tests, but if there are any budgetary concerns we recommend just starting with the first test.

For your acupuncture visits, the initial paperwork will either be sent out to you or can be filled out when you arrive for your appointment.

For functional medicine new patient forms can be filled out through our HIPAA-compliant patient portal. When you schedule your first appointment, you will be sent a link to fill out your new patient forms.

We recommend supplements from high-quality and reputable manufacturers that can only be purchased with a practitioner’s recommendation. The functional wellness program created for you has specific dosages based on the exact ingredients in that specific supplement. You are welcome to do your own research on different supplements, but we do not provide any other recommendations or advice on other specific blends or brands. If you purchase other supplements from other manufacturers, please research carefully. Not all ingredients are equal, and there is not a guaranteed quality when you purchase supplements elsewhere.
While retesting isn’t required, it is recommended to retest after being on a program for 6 months to measure improvement and adjust protocols if needed. Once a patient has achieved their desired health results, we recommend annual testing to ensure your body systems continue functioning at their best.

We do not offer any discounts at this time.

Test kits are ordered with the lab testing company. Most lab testing companies ship within a couple of business days. Fullscript similarly will ship your supplements within 24 to 48 hours.
The results of your lab test(s) will be sent to our office 2 to 4 weeks after mailing your specimens to the lab. After evaluation, if you are not already scheduled for a follow-up appointment, we will contact you to schedule an appointment so Daniel can review your results and go over your corresponding wellness program.
Our authorized laboratories are only able to sell test kits to licensed practitioners. We use specific lab tests from small lab companies that exclusively offer functional medicine tests. Larger national labs and local hospital-based labs are not helpful for these types of highly specialized tests.
The accuracy of your lab findings and the quality of the clinicians performing the lab tests is the key to uncovering what you truly need to find true health. Quality is not equal across all lab companies. The lab companies we use have the highest testing standards and the most consistent lab results year after year.
If labs are older than 6 months, we will need to order current labs to effectively design a therapeutic program.
